Hello, SBH Parents!
The first day of the new school year – August 3 – is approaching fast. Please note these important announcements:
- Attendance on the first day of school is mandatory to maintain your student’s enrollment. Unexcused absences will result in the spot being filled by a student from our waitlist.
- All grades K-12 will now operate on the same schedule: 8AM – 3PM.
- Parent Orientation 2026-2027 starts tomorrow! Meet your child’s teachers, get their schedule, transportation info, uniforms and more. Dates are as follows:
- Mon, July 27 – New SBH Parents (All K-12 Grades) – Orientation for First-Time Eagles Only!
- Tues, July 28 – Returning Elementary Parents (K-5)
- Wed, July 29 – Returning Middle/High School Parents (6-12)
- 6PM in the Auditorium for all dates
- We will provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation on Tuesday, July 28, at 6:00 PM. New parents who require interpretation are warmly welcomed to attend on this day.
- **New Families** Please ensure your online enrollment portal is fully completed with all required health and residency documents. During orientation we will walk you through the school calendar, so you plan for key dates and school breaks.
- School uniforms are on sale in both the elementary and MS/HS front offices. Hours are:
- Mon-Thurs: 9AM – 3PM
- Friday: 9AM – 12PM

- If your student has lost an SBH fleece jacket, you are welcome to stop by the front office and choose a jacket from our collection of freshly washed and donated/unclaimed jackets.
- School supply lists for grades K-12 are available in the Parent Resources page on our website salliebhowardschool.com.
- Parents of bus riders should download the MyRide K-12 app, our school’s system that lets parents track the school bus in real time. It provides live GPS locations, estimated arrival times and notifications for delays. Download the app in the Apple Store or Google Play Store. Be sure to enable real-time notifications to your phone once you download the app. Visit the Parent Resources page for detailed instructions.
- SBH has transitioned from Remind to ParentSquare for all school communication in 2026-2027! ParentSquare makes it easy to stay informed and connected through updates to your phone, email or the free mobile app. An email invitation was sent to all SBH parents/guardians of enrolled students. Activate your account from that email or by downloading the app in the Apple Store or Google Play Store or visiting parentsquare.com/signin. - Volunteers Welcomed! We love our parents and community members who want to volunteer and help our school. Our teachers and Deans will work closely in building relationships with our volunteers. Email parents@sallieb.net or call the school office if you want to volunteer.
