The Sallie B. Howard High School of Arts and Science is a free, public charter school offering a rigorous academic program and intensive training in Biotechnology, Music, Dance, Visual Art and Theatre Arts. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for college, the workforce or a career in the arts and sciences.

In August 2020, SBHS will open the Sallie B. In August 2020, SBHS will open the Sallie B. Howard High School for Biotechnology and the Fine Arts, a free, public charter school offering a rigorous academic and Biotech program as well as intensive study in Music, Dance, Visual Art and Theatre Arts.

Admission into the SBH High School is by audition and interview only. Selected students must demonstrate a proficiency in one of the five disciplines offered. The high school will open with fifty 9th graders and add a grade level each year until the 12th grade. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for college, the workforce or a career in the arts.
