Sallie B. Howard School of Arts & Science – a K-12 National Blue Ribbon charter school established in Wilson, N.C. in 1997 – has an immediate opening for an American Sign Language Interpreter, or ASL Interpreter.

An ASL Interpreter is a person fluent in American Sign Language who facilitates communication between those who can hear and people who are hard of hearing. Their main duties include translating spoken and written words, interpreting signs into English for hearing persons and enabling direct interaction with them in professional or educational settings. 

The ASL Interpreter will work with a student in a school setting as part of the student’s educational team. Qualified candidates should send their resume to resume@sallieb.net.
